Sponsorship and Advertising Inquiries

This page explains how sponsorship works on Dialect Quiz, what is available today, and how to start a real inquiry. It is an inquiry channel, not a checkout, and the quiz itself always stays free.

Sample dialect map

Top matches
Each state is filled with the dialect macro-region it belongs to, shaded by that region's relative score (strongest = 100). Sample distribution, not your result.
Map written out as text

Relative score for this sample, strongest region first (the strongest region is 100). This ranks an answer pattern; it is not a probability and not a share of the population.

  • Northeast 100
  • New England 74
  • Southern 61
  • Midwest 52
  • Texas 45
  • West 44
  • California 41
  • Canada 30

The map is a coarse macro-region view, not a survey boundary. State groupings are this site's own approximation: the eight quiz regions do not map one-to-one onto published dialect areas, every border state is a gradient, and states with heavy migration vary internally.

Canada is drawn as its own geographic inset of the thirteen provinces and territories, at its own scale rather than on the U.S. map, and the inset is an outline of the country rather than a dialect boundary. Texas and California are outlined with a dashed edge to mark where their scores overlap the Southern and Western scores.

What a Sponsorship Is Here

A sponsorship is one clearly labelled placement for a tool, publication, course, or service that a dialect-quiz audience would plausibly want: language learning, linguistics, regional travel, classroom material, or reference and dictionary products. Sponsored material is labelled as sponsored where it appears, and the free quiz is never gated, shortened, delayed, or turned into a checkout.

How Advertising Is Configured Today

The site loads Google's AdSense loader for publisher pub-6762879731814955 and lists that publisher in ads.txt. Whether AdSense actually places anything on this site depends on Google's own account review and its automatic placement logic, and we have no verified access to that account state from here. We therefore do not report impressions, click-through rates, or ad revenue for this site at all: there is no number we could stand behind.

What We Never Sell

We do not sell or share quiz answers, result data, or email addresses. We do not take payment to change a quiz result, a region score, the order of the regions, or the wording of a question. Sponsored material never influences scoring weights or the shape of the dialect map.

Editorial Independence

Sponsored material has to meet the same standard as the rest of the site: accurate, useful, and clearly disclosed. If a sponsorship would require hiding the label, editing the quiz to favour a product, or repeating a claim we cannot support, we decline it.

What to Include in an Inquiry

Five lines are enough for a first reply: who you are and the site or company you represent; the page or placement you have in mind; the dates you want; the audience or outcome you are aiming at; and a budget range. If you would rather keep it shorter, send the first two and we will ask for the rest. The address is [email protected], and the inquiry button below opens a message with a prefilled subject.

Numbers We Can and Cannot Prove

Traffic, event, and engagement figures are shared only when we can support them with a dated export from our own analytics, described with its date range and channel. We will not present rounded, estimated, or projected numbers as measured performance. Ask first and we will tell you exactly what we can and cannot produce.

Start a sponsorship inquiry

Email [email protected] with who you are, what you would like to place, the dates you have in mind, and a budget range. We reply with what is actually available, and we say so plainly when nothing fits.

This opens your own email app with the subject filled in. If nothing opens, write to [email protected] directly. Nothing is sent or charged by this page, and there is no payment step anywhere on this site.
